LEADERSHIP MESSAGE

Engineering the Future of Maritime
Safety with Military-Grade Precision

When Shinko was incorporated in 2004, we began our journey as a small team of only 4 members. Since then, we have dedicated over two decades to the maintenance and repair of U.S. Naval vessels. Today, we have grown into a cornerstone of naval ship coating operations at Sasebo Naval Base, a position built on a foundation of unwavering trust.

The reason we are able to successfully complete more than 300 diverse projects annually does not lie in advanced equipment or systems alone—it lies in our people.

Over the past decade, we have undergone a strategic evolution from an outsourced model to a fully integrated in-house execution system. By expanding our internal capabilities beyond coating to include welding, insulation, decking, and carpentry, we have multiplied our specialized service offerings several times over. This transition to an end-to-end service model allows us to maintain total accountability and control over every stage of a project. It has fostered a culture of meticulous verification and continuous improvement, ensuring that technical expertise and institutional knowledge are deeply ingrained within our organization.

The core of this robust operational strength is the pride and motivation of each employee. The dedication our team shows when facing tight deadlines or sudden schedule changes is something that a mere organizational structure cannot produce. It comes from a genuine commitment to excellence.

For this reason, we prioritize reinvesting our success back into our employees and their working environment. We strive to cultivate a corporate culture where everyone feels a sense of fulfillment, both professionally and personally. Our guiding philosophy, inherited from our predecessor, is "To be a Good Company, not just a Big Company." This ethos remains the true source of our competitive advantage.

Today, our vision extends beyond Sasebo to Yokosuka, Guam, and across Asia. As we look toward expanding our services to Military Sealift Command (MSC) vessels, we remain committed to refining our expertise. Our goal is for the name "SHINKO" to be recognized as a hallmark of reliability on the front lines of maritime security, both at home and abroad.
